I'm NOT Over-reacting!!

Okay, so after having all day, several conversations, referencing the internet and having a sympathetic lunchtime discussion I feel a lot better!! Some would accuse me of tending to overreact once in a while, but this time I didn't. And I'm STILL shaking my head.

People at work, who don't watch regularly, have been stopping by to ask "Who got booted?" and even THEY'RE shocked!!

Some theories that are floating around: since we never know how MANY votes each person gets (and thus how close the voting may be), it may be safe to assume that people didn't vote for Mandisa because they didn't think she NEEDED votes because she was talented. I mean, some people have got to just assume that Chris is getting the majority of the votes, because he hasn't been in the bottom three, but if he is, how MANY more votes? Maybe a lot more, maybe not that many more.

There's always the "ruiners" who hate the show and vote for the least talented, just to mess with the fans (read: Bucky).

I have a bad, bad feeling about next week's show --- a combination of utter shock at losing Mandisa and having to sing Queen songs doesn't bode well for our little group.

Here's my theory about the music choices:

At the beginning of season #1, the producers put little slips of paper in a jar with artist's names. During the previous seasons if they pulled out a slip that said. . . oh, I don't know --- Queen, they exclaimed "Who's been messing around with the music jar?", tossed the slip back in the jar (1st mistake) and drew another one that was a better choice.

It's now season five and (2nd mistake) no one has replenished the jar. So now they're pulling names like Queen out of the jar and going with it. So, maybe the first thing that needs to be done, after they FIRE THE STYLISTS is to brainstorm a better list of music choices. OR take some suggestions from the fanbase. Any different tack would improve Season 5 --- take a chance!!

Man, I hope I get over this soon!

After a long week of studying, I decided to treat myself to reading my aunts blog update...Now here's the thing I read that it was Queen week... I turned to my roommate who's chair is conveniently placed directly behind me and exclaimed "Who's Queen??? What did she sing???" and the response I got was "Uh Queen is a guy" (which of course leads into the questioning 2-year-old deep inside me "Then why didn't he call himself King? Why couldn't he think of something better). Well if I am clueless as to who Queen is then how am I supposed to vote.... but I decided studying was more important than watching A.I tonight just because I had no idea who Queen was until oh about 2 minutes ago....
