Week 10

Was this Week 10 or WEAK 10??? I was SO underwhelmed by tonight's show!!

When Lisa didn't even hit the high note in the beginning of her song, it didn't surprise me that she stayed pitchy and shaky all the way through her performance.

Kellie Mae Clampett's vocals left me wondering "WHAT WAS THAT???" Out of all the songs in the 21st century, that was the best she could come up with??

And, I love Ace and adore Train (I pride myself on discovering Train one night on late-night radio and introducing their music to my family), but his rendition tonight was just mediocre. If he had made it a little edgier, it wouldn't have seemed like such a safe performance.

Taylor's vocals were the cleanest and clearest at that point of the show, and I really liked the fact that he was dressed a little more appropriately to his real age!! Now maybe America will really believe that he's NOT a 50-year old man!!

The song Mandisa chose really showcased her vocal abilities, but, why did she feel she had to draw attention to her back pocket by hanging a scarf there?? She needs to draw the line between being proud of who she is and just plain foolishness.

Unfortunately, the song Chris chose, although it was the kind of music he wants to sing, just didn't show his voice. After all, there were only about 4-5 notes and no lyrics to speak of. He has a great voice, but this song didn't show it.

Katherine's performance was not her best, in my opinion, but still one of the better ones. However, will someone please tell me what she was wearing? It looked like she went to the "Only Clothes That Will Emphasize the Fact That you Have Rather Large Hips" store.

Bucky's Tim McGraw song sounded like. . . Tim McGraw. So, bravo for the great impersonation, but that's all it was.

Little Miss P can now change her name to the Divine Miss P --- all I can say is "wow!!" (P.S. Simon, she's 17, not 12. How old do you think Beyonce was when she did that song?) She finally broke out of her "polite" mode showed more of her range.

And, except for the bobbing and weaving that Elliott started with, which he mercifully stopped, he made the song his own. He came really, really close to getting lost in the syncopation, but he held on and did a great job.

My choice for bottom three: Lisa, Kellie and Bucky. And, even though I really, really want Bucky to go home, I think Kellie deserves to be booted tomorrow night. What is the world coming to when I'd vote someone else off before Bucky??

I agree....
What a weak showing for everyone.

I really like Chris (duh) and really hate Creed. I hope he doesn't go there again.

My guess is that Kelly won't even be in the bottom three tonight. She has a big fan base. Just think, did Bay Watch stay on TV for so many years because Pam Anderson was a great actress?

Betting it's going to be Lisa that gets the gate (a little Hockey lingo)tonight. I've been hoping Lisa would do something to blow us away but instead it seems like she is starting to cave in.

It hurts me to say this but,..... Bucky's Tim McGraw act should be his last on Idol. Where is the Skynard singing, pony tailed Bucky that some of us want to see?

Hey, Katherine's got a little Ghetto Booty going there and it's not a bad thing! I think she's proud of it and wanted to show it off a little.

All in all,
Simon summed it up best when he said that "out of six years of music, this is the best you could find?"

I wasn't impressed with anyone last night. What happened? I liked Chris until last nights performance. Katherine has a great voice, but American Idol--I don't think so.
Maybe next week someone will shine.

So great, it was not just me that thought last night was, well, not all that great.

I didnt get to see the entire performance from Lisa, but the snapshot that they show at the end was, frankly dissapointing. what happened to the 16-year old that had all this talent?? it seems to me that all those compliments have gone to her head and she has become comfortable with just passing by. shame, i'm still waiting for a 'shock and awe' performance from her..will it come before its too late???

Bucky, Chris, Kelly, Ace, even MANDISA were all just 'okay'...and i'm just being nice.

No one is a bigger Katherine fan than I, I LOVE me some Katherine, i got that Mcpheeeever!! lol but i was EXTREMELY dissapointed with the laid back, mediocore, rendidtion of Christina Aguilera's 'The Voice With In' she was in her 'head voice' most of the performance and kept me waiting for the moment when she would 'belt it out' and sadly that shining moment never came for me...somehow the judges all threw themselves at her feet to worship the performance? was i the only one who felt that way?

Paris, Paris, PARIS - WOW, SHAKE WHAT YO MAMA GAVE YOU!! Paris nailed that performance! (the only thing i have to say is -FIRE YOUR STYLIST!!)

In my opinion, EVERYONE needs to step up thier game. to me, at this point of the game, no one is 'Idol Ready'

In response to the rather large hips store comment about Katharine... I have to totally agree with my Aunt Peg on this one.... My roommates and I were appalled at the randomness (not to mention ugly) of that outfit!!!
